Trade Show Items

Trade show items can be at the outset divided into 2 broad categories.

  1. Items that help the company run the booth at the trade show.
  2. Items that are given away as freebies.

Items to run the booth: A multimedia presentation is extremely useful at trade show booths. Instead of just giving away brochures like many do, a CD-ROM can make a big difference as it can be made interactive too where the viewer will need to provide inputs. This will naturally raise the interest of the person seeing it. For example, if you have a factory that makes electrical bulbs and lamps, your multimedia presentation can give a walk through of your production process. It is sure to give your prospective customers a better understanding of your business and operations and raise your chances of doing business. Though you can make the presentation with a computer, but it is better to get a projector as it will enable you to address many more.

Your trade show item list must also include a feedback form that has a column where you will be noting down the details of all those who visit your booth, including their email addresses. On the one hand the form would help you know what they feel about your business and on the other, it will help you contact them at a future date to make your marketing pitch.

Freebies: Many participants give away freebies at trade shows. Either these items are simply given away or they are distributed as prizes for competitions that are organized. Such freebies include pens, coffee mugs, caps, calendars, mouse pads, electronic clocks, candy, picture frames, stress relievers, calculators and other such items.

You may also give away such freebie. But here is an opportunity you can leverage to your advantage. Instead of just giving them away as trade show items, you can print your company name, caption and business logo on the products. This will give you extra mileage and the person is also likely to remember you in the future.
